We are all works in progress. Whenever and wherever progress is being made, a mess is always made. Yes, we and others created the mess, and then we try to clean it up as best we can. I don’t know about you, but I have made messes. I have tried to clean up my messes, and I have tried to hide my messes.None of this activity has improved my life. The only real and lasting progress that has been made in my life has been made by God Himself. I am a husband and father. I have been in ministry and in the professional world. I am a son and a sibling.

I have a private life. I have made a mess in every one of those areas. I am intimately acquainted with the only One who takes messes and makes them beautiful, transforms them into new and unimaginable works of art. My marriage is one of those current works of art.
